AN award-winning Yorkshire bakers has collaborated with the Belgian biscuit brand Lotus to launch a new handcrafted cheesecake.
Just Desserts, based in Shipley, has created the The Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake, which is aimed at the foodservice and hospitality markets.
The original and caramelised biscuit, first baked in the Belgian town of Lembeke in 1932, has been used in the new individual Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake.
James O’Dwyer, managing director, Just Desserts, said: “We are excited to launch our new Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake, especially being only a handful of businesses given permission to use the famous ‘little red biscuit’ brand which is incredibly popular and familiar in coffee shops worldwide.
“Originally, these bite sized biscuits were served up by the handful in the run up to Christmas to celebrate the Feast of St Nicholas, so are particularly appropriate for our new product in the build up to the festive season and beyond.
“Initial interest in the new product is very encouraging.”
