BRADFORD South MP Judith Cummins helped to celebrate the opening of a new community restaurant in a supported living scheme.
Mrs Cummins cut the ribbon and welcomed tenants into the restaurant at the Habinteg Housing Association scheme at Wagtail Close, Westwood Park, for the first time since the refurbishment began.
She said: "Last time I visited a Habinteg scheme I was struck by how easy it is to make a home accessible for disabled people and I always keep that in mind when I'm talking to people about housing.
"It is so important that disabled people have access to the same things non-disabled people have.
"It's all about equality”
Jameel Malik, Habinteg Director of Operations, said: "Community is incredibly important to our tenants so it's great to have somewhere to congregate, eat and socialise.”
