A HOLLYWOOD visual effects editor on several blockbuster movies has spoken to fans as part of the city's Widescreen Weekend.
Carin-Anne Strohmaier, VFX and assistant editor on numerous Hollywood hits including Back to the Future, the Indiana Jones series, and the Oscar-winning Forrest Gump, was a guest speaker at the Science and Media Museum's four day celebration of cinema.
Ms Strohmaier was speaking as part of the festival's bid to take a closer look at women in widescreen, both in terms of notable female characters on screen, and women working behind the camera.
The weekend of events showcased a range of iconic films on its mesmerising projection facilities and gave visitors the chance to see behind the scenes of the museum's collection.
Fans were able to see cinematic hits on the IMAX screen, including The Greatest Showman, while other big screen classics included Grand Prix and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
