A TEENAGE girl suffered serious injuries when she was struck by a bus on Friday.
Police were called to the incident in Thornton Road, Girlington, close to the Mercedes-Benz car dealership, by the ambulance service at 5.02pm.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said on Saturday morning the 16-year-old girl suffered serious in the crash, which are not life-threatening.
Thornton Road was partially closed as emergency crews attended.
The spokesperson said: "Police are appealing for any witnesses, particularly people who were on the bus - which was full at the time - to get in touch."

The crash caused major traffic problems heading out of the city centre and towards Thornton.
Buses which travel along this stretch of Thornton Road were delayed, with some services diverted.
