MORE than 100 vehicles were stopped during an operation to tackle anti-social and nuisance drivers.
The Bradford East Neighbourhood Policing Team focused its efforts on the Eccleshill, Fagley and Idle areas as part of the crackdown.
The team said: "This is not intended as a money making scheme as often is suggested with enforcement operations, but is in response to many complaints about the standard of driving and vehicle use and police not taking action to address it.
"Sadly, we cannot be in all places at once. Watch this space for other initiatives in other ward areas/locations."
Police shared the following results:
• More than 100 vehicles stopped
• Pro-laser speed checks conducted
• 15 Traffic Offence Reports for various offences
• Two vehicles seized for no insurance
• Two Section 59 notices for anti-social vehicle use
• 27 vehicles checked by HMRC in relation to red diesel
• Taxi enforcement carried out checks on licensed vehicles
