A NEW exhibition planned for a Bradford gallery will look at the history of beloved children’s character Peter Rabbit.
It has been announced that next summer’s exhibition in Cartwright Hall, in Manningham’s Lister Park, will be Peter Rabbit: Mischief & Mayhem.
The exhibition will feature rarely seen original illustrations and early manuscripts by Beatrix Potter from ‘The Tale of Peter Rabbit’ as well as interactive activities for children.
Organised in partnership with Penguin Ventures and The River and Rowing Museum, the exhibition looks at Peter across the ages, and includes original artworks, first editions and early Peter Rabbit merchandise.
Exclusive to the showing of the Beatrix Potter archive in Bradford is an addition of a very early illustration from 1892.
The exhibition is due to open next May and run until September.
