THE victim of a hit and run, where a car crashed into a motorbike before driving away last week, has been named by police as John Naylor.

Mr Naylor, 30, was thought to be on his way home from work when he was hit by a silver Ford Focus as he rode his Yamaha bike along Cottingley Road in Sandy Lane at around 7.45pm on Wednesday, October 3.

The Ford then drove away from the scene of the crash, at the junction with Stone Street, and crashed again into a red Volkswagen Polo, before being found abandoned in Meadow Court.

Two men, both aged 24 and from Bradford, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and have been released under investigation by police.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the hit and run, or for anyone who saw the Focus prior to the crash.
