POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured after being hit by a car.
It happened shortly before 12.18pm on Friday, October 5, on Cemetery Road at the junction with Duncombe Road, and involved a red VW Golf and a 40-year-old male pedestrian.
The driver of the Golf stopped the vehicle further down the road and walked up to the injured man, but then left the scene without exchanging details.
A 23-year-old man later attended at a police station and was interviewed in relation to the crash.
Police are keen to speak to any witnesses who saw the events leading up or following the crash.
