THE Victorian police cells and courtroom of Bradford's City Hall will be opened up for a spooky Halloween tour.
The lantern-led tour, by Bradford Civic Society and Bradford Police Museum, will see the old police station plunged into darkness as police historians tell stories from the city’s murky past. The tour ends in the 1873 courtroom, where historian and paranormal expert Les Vasey (pictured) will talk about City Hall’s infamous resident - the ghost of Chains Charlie.
Alan Hall, vice chairman of Bradford Civic Society, said: “The tours are great fun, you get to learn as much about the building’s fascinating history as its infamous inhabitants."
The tour is Wednesday, October 31 at 7pm. Tickets, including a supper at Ivegate's Brick Box Rooms, must be booked in advance at bradfordcivicsociety.co.uk/events
