A CARAVAN fire last night in a local woods left the dwelling "razed to the ground."
Shipley Fire Service attended the blaze at around 7pm yesterday evening in the woods behind Thackley Old Road.
The small caravan was situated in a clearing and was derelict at the time of the fire according to a spokesperson from Shipley Fire Service.
But, the fire crew were told by local children that someone had been living there up until a couple of days ago.
The Shipley Fire Service spokesperson said: "Unfortunately, they won't be living there any more. The caravan was raised to the ground.
"They tend to burn very quickly."
He added that the small holding was burnt out with only the chasis remaining.
Police are believed to be investigating further.
