A SECOND person has been arrested by police over the killing of a man in Sandford Road, Bradford Moor, on Wednesday.

A 38-year-old male was in custody yesterday.

A 35-year-old male previously arrested has been released under investigation.

The identity of the victim has not been confirmed by police, who are treating the case as murder, but he was named locally as Amriz Iqbal.

He is believed to have had three children - a 16-year-old, a two-year-old and an 18-month-old.

Officers were called at 1.10pm on Wednesday to reports of two pedestrians being injured by a car whose occupants then got out and assaulted the men.

The second injured man was taken to hospital. His condition is not known.
