A GROUP of climbers from a Bradford bakery have raised almost £1,800 in aid of a charity supporting young families in Holme Wood.
The Rocky Road Climbers, from the Bradford branch of CSM Bakery, climbed Mount Snowdon in aid of The Valley Project.
The project is aiming to provide a safe outdoor space in Holme Wood for children and families to meet, play, make friends and get some exercise.
It incorporates exciting activities which challenge young children and improve their problem solving skills and resilience, including den building, campfire cooking, and team games.
The project uses areas of the estate which are prone to fly tipping and fires to create safe, staffed areas where families can play, with all money going towards food and play equipment, funding qualified staff, and buying resources for large play structures for children.
The team conquered the highest peak in Wales, raising £1,778 by climbing the 1,085 metres to its summit.
