AN application to serve alcohol at the latest business in the city’s Top of Town area has been submitted to Bradford Council.

Plans to turn the Cooker Centre store on Rawson Square into a bar and cafe were approved by planners last month.

The shop has been empty for several years, and Haseeb Raja was given the go ahead to convert it into a business that would be a cafe/deli in the day and a bar in the evenings. There would also be a pool room on the first floor.

Now a licensing application has been submitted for the new business. If approved it would allow the bar to serve alcohol from 10am to midnight on Monday to Thursday, and on Sundays, and from 10am to 2am on Friday and Saturday nights. The application is also for regulated entertainment from 10am to midnight on Monday to Saturday and noon to midnight on Sundays.
