SENIOR school leaders from Australia are set to visit Bradford to see how teachers are tackling the challenges of social mobility.
Bradford Council’s Children’s Services will showcase its Opportunity Area programme to the visitors.
The trip has been organised by Australia’s Bright Spots Schools Connection and Doncaster Council, and the session at the University of Bradford will pass on best practice, particularly in STEM subjects.
They will visit Bradford tomorrow where they will be welcomed by Councillor Angela Tait, who is a champion of STEM subjects, Michael Jameson from the Council, and Professor Alastair Goldman, Dean of Life Sciences at the university.
Cllr Tait said: “This is a great opportunity to share ideas and learn a great deal from colleagues who may have different perspectives.
“We hope that the ideas that have proved so effective here can make a difference to young people 10,000 miles away!”
