POLICE have seized a large selection of fireworks from a residential address believed to be selling to youngsters.
Officers revealed that it is believed the fireworks were being sold to children as young as 11.
The fireworks were recovered by the Bradford West Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) from an address in the Toller Ward area.
Investigations are ongoing, and positive action will be taken against the subjects involved, police confirmed.
This comes only a week after a car crash was caused by a gang of youths throwing fireworks onto Girlington Road, near Thornton Road.
Police responders and passing ambulances were also attacked on arrival to the incident.
PC Chris Cahill said: “We are pleased that we have disrupted this activity, it’s likely these fireworks would have been used to attack emergency crews in the area.
"NPT are pushing for criminal charges to be brought. This should serve as an example to others that are trying to profit from illegal sales to under age children."
