THE M62 was at a standstill near Bradford on Thursday night after all lanes were closed following a 'police incident'.
Lanes were closed in both directions between J27 (M621, Birstall) and J28 (Tingley).
Highways England said the eastbound carriageway reopened shortly before 10pm, and that the incident was now over.

Drivers were warned that several vehicles had broken down in the trapped traffic, but these have now been moved.
M62 WESTBOUND - All vehicles have now been cleared from live lane. The back log of vehicles should now start to clear.

Westbound traffic was earlier being diverted off the M62 at J27.
One motorist who had been stuck on the westbound carriageway since 8.15pm said people were getting out of their cars, while another described it as 'a car park'.

The J28 westbound exit slip road, which was due to be closed overnight until 6am, was opened to allow congestion to clear.
This closure has been removed and the road is fully reopen. This has been removed to aid congestion relief from the earlier incident in the area.
