LABOUR leader Jeremy Corbyn has visited the Shipley constituency to gee up supporters.

He visited the Copper Beech Club in Baildon to meet party members and received a rapturous welcome.

He attended the event with Bradford East MP Imran Hussain and prospective parliamentary candidate for Shipley Jo Pike who welcomed the Leader of the Opposition in an effort to encourage Labour members to get out and campaign.

Mr Corbyn stopped off in Baildon on his way to Leeds to talk to students there.

He arrived fresh from the Labour conference in Liverpool at which he announced several radical policies.

He was last in Bradford at the launch of the Labour manifesto in May 2017.
