AGE UK Yorkshire and Humber is bringing almost 100 older veterans and their partners together for a Tea Dance at Pudsey Town Hall.
The dance is being held on October 8 and is an opportunity for older veterans, many in their 90s to meet, socialise and to look back at the time when they served their country.
Those invited are all involved in MoD funded projects delivered by Age UK and Ex-Forces Support North Yorkshire, which provide support and social opportunities to veterans born before 1951.
Veterans will be treated to the sounds of the 40s and 50s, and will have a chance to get together and to watch DVDs of Yorkshire from the 1930s-1950s, made specifically for the project by Age UK and the Yorkshire Film Archive. Other local veterans’ Associations will also be represented.
