A WOMAN who dumped rubbish on the side of a residential street, then set fire to it, has been fined £320 by Bradford magistrates.
Safina Bi, 60, of Whetley Hill, Bradford, was caught on CCTV cameras dumping the rubbish on two occasions from a car in Manningham.
During the second time, she was seen to set fire to the waste.
She pleaded guilty to two offences, one of illegally disposing of controlled waste and one of disposing of waste in a manner likely to cause pollution or harm to public health.
She was ordered to pay £475 costs and £32 Victim Surcharge.
Cllr Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council Executive Member for Healthy People and Places, said:
“We really have to try and make people realise that fly-tipping is not an option when it comes to getting rid of rubbish.”
