LOCAL band Shades of Soul entertained more than 100 guests at the rescheduled Spring Dinner for Marie Curie at the Bradford Grammar School.
The event, organised by Chris Ing in memory of his sister Elizabeth Headley, fell foul of the Beast from the East when originally planned in March
Bishop Chris Edmondson, a family member, told of the care given to Elizabeth by the dedicated staff at the Hospice and of the support offered to her family, many of whom were present at the event.
Amanda Warrent, Marie Curie Community Fundraiser, spoke about the work of Marie Curie in Bradford and how important fundraising by the community was to support the work.
The event, which had been very well supported by the Bradford Business Community with event sponsors Butterfield Signs, Rex Procter & Partners and R N Wooler, raised £10,000.00 for the Bradford Hospice.
