POLICE have spoken to a man who they wished to identify in connection to an attempted robbery at a newsagents in Frizinghall earlier this month.

The incident happened at about 6.40am on Monday, September 3, when a man tried to grab a woman's handbag as she left Singh's Newsagents in Bradford Road.

The man then ran off towards Bradford city centre.

A police spokesperson said: "A male sought in connection with an attempted robbery in Shipley has now been identified and spoken to by officers.

"Police would like to thank everyone who called in with information or shared the appeal.

"Enquiries into the incident are continuing."

A taxi driver who was sought in the initial appeal has since been traced.
