A NURSERY has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in its first inspection.
Hamond House Day Nursery, pictured, in Leeds Road, Heckmondwike, received the rating following an inspection earlier this month.
In the report, inspectors highlighted the focus on continual improvement of staff as a particular strength.
It also noted partnerships with parents, addressing gaps in a child’s learning, and “highly-skilled staff” as areas of high performance.
To become Outstanding, the nursery was told to make sure planning for children’s learning is always fully focused, and to provider a wider range of experiences so children can develop their understanding of the wider community.
Hamond House, founded in 2016, has five members of staff who all hold early years qualifications at Level 3 or higher, and can provide provision for up to 30 children aged zero to four-years-old.
