PLANS to build an expansion to a Wibsey medical practice have been approved - after similar plans were refused this summer.
The Parklands Medical Practice in Buttershaw Lane submitted an application to build a two-storey extension to the front.
A new back porch, a new staircase, and a platform lift to replace the existing ramp for disability access were all also included in the application, along with additional parking spaces. It would have made the lower ground floor accessible to wheelchair users.
But Bradford Council refused the plans in June, saying the practice had submitted "inadequate information on the site ground conditions to ensure there are no issues in terms of stability and contamination."
A second application was submitted shortly after, including a Coal Mining Risk Assessment.
Planning officers were satisfied with the amended plans, and approved the application last week.
