A VULNERABLE teenager used by others to deal drugs has been given a suspended sentence.
Calum Sunderland, 19, of Acre Street, Keighley, was arrested with nine wraps of crack cocaine and 13 wraps of heroin by police on April 7 in Keighley.
He was a passenger in a car which was followed by police, and the driver tried to escape by speeding off and then abandoning the car.
Sunderland admitted having cannabis, and said the other drugs, worth £265, were for personal use.
Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC, the Recorder of Bradford, said he is an “ideal candidate to be used by others” for crime and is “coping with a number of challenges”, and he must not get involved in crime again.
Sunderland received an 18-month sentence suspended for two years, and order to undertake 25 rehabilitation activity days.
