Church group at St John's Church Hall in Greengates have received £7,000 in lottery funding to provide trips, games and meals for over 50s
A CHURCH group has received £7,000 in lottery funding to provide trips, games and meals for people looking for company.
St John’s Church Hall, in Harrogate Road, Greengates, has run the over-50s group for more than 30 years, but has recently its budget has come under strain.
This money will allow the group to run a range of activities, including entry to bingo games and barge trips in the Spring.
The group is aimed at people who may be lonely and the elderly.
