EVENTS are being held across the district to ask people to focus on preventing falls.
They are organised by the Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust (BDCT). People will have the opportunity to get falls prevention advice, blood pressure measurement, podiatry advice and fire prevention advice.
Sharon Bond, Falls Prevention Team Leader at BDCT, said: “Falls are the biggest cause of accidents in the home and these are not an inevitable part of getting older, many can be prevented and we want to provide people with information and advice to try and prevent some of these falls from happening."
The trust will be at Christchurch in Ilkley on October 1 from 11.30am-1.30pm, City Hall in Bradford on October 2, 10am-1pm and the Airedale Centre in Keighley on October 5, 10am -2pm.
