WITH less than 100 days to go until Christmas, MP Robert Buckland has called for youngsters to send in their festive card designs.

Each year, the South Swindon MP chooses a drawing by a primary school pupil in his constituency to feature on his Christmas cards.

The winning design will end up gracing the mantlepieces of government ministers, MPs and in the offices of Swindon businesses and charities.

Mr Buckland, who has served as a Swindon MP since 2010, said: Robert said: “I hope the children enjoy taking part in the competition and I am looking forward to receiving all of the entries.

“Last year, I received many excellent designs and it took me some time to choose a winner.”

The Christmas card competition is open to all primary schools in Robert’s constituency of South Swindon with the theme being ‘Christmas time in Swindon’.

Send entries to the constituency office, 29b Wood Street Swindon, SN1 4AN before October 26.
