BRADFORD chemical firm Christeyns has taken on four new apprentices, taking the number of youngsters on its scheme up to 10.
The company, based in Rutland Street, usually takes on two apprentices a year, but due to the highly quality of applications, doubled its intake to four this year.
Zachari Adams and Lucy Duckworth have joined the company on a Higher Apprenticeship, starting with a 12 month foundation period.
Keiron Todd and Hena Arif have secured Foundation Apprenticeships, and will spend two years working in all areas of the business while studying for a Level 2 NVQ in a specific business area.
All four will also take a Level 2 NVQ in Business Improvement Techniques, and their career pathways will not be decided until the end of the foundation period.
Neville Kildunne, apprenticeship scheme mentor and works manager, said: “Our apprenticeship programme provides an excellent training ground where new recruits are fully immersed in the business from day one.
"We offer a mix of study and work experience that gives exposure to all areas of our business.”
