POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Steeton yesterday morning. 

Officers were called at 8.22am to Station Road to reports of a crash involving a blue Suzuki Vitara car and a pedestrian.

The Suzuki was travelling in the direction of the Steeton/Silsden roundabout.

The pedestrian, a man aged 51, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Suzuki remained at the scene.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to get in contact with police.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who saw the vehicle driving in the area prior to the collision.
