THE Greenwoods menswear store on Kirkgate, Bradford, is to close.

Signs have gone up in the windows saying the long-established shop is having a closing-down sale.

A member of staff could not confirm when the store was to close and to whether workers would be offered jobs elsewhere.

The Greenwoods outlet in Keighley has already closed after holding a “Last Day of Trading” sale at their premises on Saturday.

Greenwoods went into administration in early September last year but was saved from closure in October by a company called Versatile Investment Trading.

The sale saw 40 retail stores and 181 jobs saved.

The central warehouse and head office functions, in Bradford, were also be transferred to the buyer.

The remaining 22 stores in the chain closed with 88 redundancies.

Versatile Investment Trading, which is based in Stockport, Cheshire, could not be reached for comment.
