A GENTLE giant with lots of love to give is looking for a new home after being taken in by an animal shelter.
Seven-year-old Cassian is currently being cared for in Darlington’s National Animal Sanctuaries Support League (NASSL) after being taken there following a change in circumstances for his previous owners.
The American Bulldog has been overlooked by potential new owners in recent weeks, however staff at NASSL hope he will find someone to share his days with in the near future.
A spokeswoman for the charity said: “Cassian loves his bed, food and to be around people who sometimes are put off by his size but he really is very, very gentle and laid-back.
“He is not used to cats and has not lived with small children or other dogs so H=he needs an experienced handler who will give this lovely boy the retirement he deserves.”
She added: “His face says it all, ‘is there anybody out there who would love me’.”
The seven-year-old dog is also described as being “very loving, affectionate, loyal and endearing”.
Anyone able to rehome Cassian can contact NASSL by calling 01325-321855 or 07748-268822
