A 51-YEAR-OLD man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following an accident at Steeton.

Station Road, Steeton, was closed by the collision and the incident is causing delays both ways on the A629 Aire Valley trunk road.

The pedestrian was involved in a collision with a blue Suzuki estate car in Station Road, shortly after 8am.

He was taken by ambulance to the LGI major trauma centre, with a suspected leg fracture and pelvic injuries.

Police, paramedics and a clinical supervisor attended the incident.

The accident was near the roundabout by Steeton and Silsden Station.

Keighley Bus Company are diverting the 62 Keighley to Otley service in both directions.

They apologise for any inconvenience caused.
