Tong School bus re-routed to avoid trouble in Holme Wood
ANTI social behaviour in Holme Wood forced a school bus to take a different route home last night.
First Bus re-routed its T2 service from Tong School as a precaution after the driver and passengers had previously been met with inappropriate behaviour as they passed through the estate.
A tweet posted by the @FirstWestYorks account said: “Due to recent problems on this service in the Holme Wood area in the afternoon, the school, police and ourselves have agreed to divert this service to run via Tong Street and Sticker Lane rather than through the Holme Wood Estate.”
It is not known if this will be a permanent change to the route.
