PLANS to convert the former offices of a community council group into a shop have been submitted to Bradford Council.
The unit, 554 Manchester Road, is the former offices of Bradford Trident, but has been empty for several years, and is now blighted by fly tipping, with mounds of rubbish regularly dumped in its rear yard.
Now Nasreen Karim has submitted a planning application to turn the building from office use to a shop with accommodation above it.
An extension and dormer windows will be built as part of the plans, and a new shopfront will also be installed.
The building is part of a row of terraced properties.
The application says: "The site has been vacant for some time, and as such has suffered from fly tipping and anti social behaviour.
"The shop has a business waiting to move in as soon as approval is given, and the flat will provide addition residential accommodation, which is much needed within the Bradford area."
A decision is expected in November.
Bradford Trident was set up to help improve Little Horton and the surrounding areas. It is now based at the Park Lane Centre.
