A WOMAN who falsified holiday bookings and pocketed the money has avoided prison.

Natasha Haigh, of Dudley Street, in Orford, took more than £1,500 during a 17-month period.

The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to three counts of fraud on September 5.

She appeared at Warrington Magistrates' Court last Wednesday, September 12.

The court heard between February 1, 2016 and June 5, 2016 in Warrington, Haigh took £1,200 for a fake holiday booking.

Between April 1, 2017 and June 16, 2017 she pocketed £315 for doing the same.

On September 7 last year, Haigh was found with a fake bank receipt.

The judge handed Haigh a 26-week sentence suspended for 12 months and a 12-week curfew.

Haigh was ordered to payback £1515 in compensation, £115 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
