A DRIVER received minor injuries after a sandbag crashed through his windscreen on the M62.
The HGV driver managed to safely move his vehicle over to the hard shoulder after the sandbag was thrown from the Thorpe Lane bridge.
Police reported that the incident on the M62 eastbound at Tingley could have resulted in a fatality.
