A MAN has been killed after the motorbike he was riding was involved in a crash with a lorry.
The man, 40, died at the scene in York Gate, Otley, yesterday following the crash which happened at 8.59am.
His black Suzuki motorbike collided with a goods vehicle which was travelling in the opposite direction, police said.
West Yorkshire Police is now appealing for witnesses to the crash. Anyone who witnessed it is asked to call the Major Collision Enquiry Team on 101, quoting crime reference number 13180456641, or use the live chat facility on the West Yorkshire Police website.
This death is the second in a week on the roads in Otley, after 85-year-old Bridget Curzon from the town died after being hit by a DAF Tipper truck at the pedestrian crossing in Bridge Street, near the junction with Cattle Market Street, at around 11am on Monday.
