PARKS in Bradford have come up smelling of roses in this year’s Yorkshire in Bloom awards competition.
The highly-acclaimed Lister Park in Manningham (pictured) has been given a Gold Award, Keighley’s Cliffe Castle Park, Platinum, Roberts Park in Saltaire, Silver Gilt, and Harold Park, Low Moor has won Gold.
Yorkshire in Bloom is the voluntary regional organisation that administers the RHS Britain in Bloom Campaign in Yorkshire.
Coun Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council Executive Member for Healthy People and Places, said: “Once again our hard working park staff and volunteers have come up trumps in this prestigious competition.
“I would like to thank them and other stakeholders whose contribution is greatly appreciated by both the Council and the visitors to our district’s welcoming parks.”
