ARMED police swooped on a Bradford street this afternoon.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said officers were called to North Avenue just before 3pm following reports of a person with a machete.
The spokesman said four males have been detained.
One person arrested for a public order offence.
Armed police responded but no weapons were found.
A number of police vehicles could be seen on North Avenue and a man, flanked by police, was led from a courtyard off Queen's Road into a waiting police van.
Police dogs were also at the scene.
