A BURGLAR has been branded “disgusting” after breaking into a charity shop in Baildon and stealing a charity box and a laptop.
The suspect broke into the Age UK shop in Westgate, Baildon, between 2.40am and 2.55am yesterday, and is believed to have forced entry through a window in the door.
A laptop and a charity box which was full of change were taken.
A spokesperson for Age UK said: “They tried to take the till, and have been through everything in the back looking for money.
“They smashed the front door, I’d say the total value of what was taken and the damage is £500 to £600.
“We’ve been here nine years and never had any trouble, it’s disgusting.”
