FAMILY and friends of a popular businessman have planted an olive tree in his memory.
Ziafat Ali Khan, known as Jaff, died on January 5, 2017, but many of his relatives and people who knew him well gathered at the Karmand Centre Cricket Club, in Barkerend Road, to remember him on Friday.
He was a well-known Bradford business man who founded two businesses, firstly Adam&co and secondly, the website Good Advice.
Mr Khan was a keen cricketer and photographer, and was involved in many local community organisations.
They all came together for a service to recognise his contributions to communities in Bradford, before plating the tree.
Among the congregation at the service was Imran Hussain, MP for Bradford East and a shadow justice minister.
The memorial event was supported by local people and organisations including the Royal Taj Banqueting Suites, British Muslim Women Forum and the Karmand Community Centre.
