Hartshead 1 Pool 0
POOL followed their midweek goalless draw with another blank scoresheet on a pitch that was poorly prepared.
It is true to say that the quality of football which Pool have produced previously was impossible on a difficult surface.
Chances were created but a lack of sharpness in front of goal again cost them dear.
The only goal of the match came when a long ball deflected over the Pool defence into the path of a Hartshead forward who, took full advantage of his luck to cleverly take the ball around Andy Doey in the Pool goal and slot home.
While Pool had much of the play, Hartshead had other chances, a couple of fine saves by Doey keeping them out.
Pool's plight is highlighted by the early figures showing them as having conceded and scored fewest goals in Division One.
