A Kind of Magic came to libraries across the district this week as part of their summer reading challenge.
Eugene Matthais, President of the Magic Club of Great Britain visited four libraries across the district to teach children how to perform illusions.
On Monday he visited libraries in Denholme and Clayton, followed by visits to Eccles hill and Manningham Libraries on Tuesday.
After learning the tricks, the children performed in front of their parents.
The sessions had been organised as part of Bradford Libraries' Summer Reading Challenge - which this year has the Beano inspired theme of "Mischief Makers."
The Magic Club of Great Britain was set up in 1999 and performs 500 educational magic shows each year.
Mr Matthais told the Telegraph & Argus: "To say the visits were a success would be a huge understatement. I don't know who enjoyed it more, the kids, the parents or the library staff. We had parents asking us when the next events will be.
"It really helps build children's confidence. At the first library we went to a mum was crying. She told us it was because she couldn't believe her child was standing up performing. She'd never seen her with that much confidence."
