The injured dog at the PDSA centre
A DOG was left with a leg injury after being hit by a car which then fled the scene.
Police found the injured animal on Killinghall Road on Wednesday evening, and took it to the PDSA to be treated.
It has since been re-united with its owner.
The driver is thought to have left the scene after hitting the dog.
A police spokesman said: "Hope the dog has a speedy recovery."
