TWO community support groups have bagged a cash boost from a leading housebuilder.
Both Amazing Grace and Haworth Riding for the Disabled Group received £1,000 each as part of the Community Champions awards run by Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire.
Amazing Grace runs three luncheon groups each week in Bradford for the over-50s. The money will go towards replacing the group’s crockery and cutlery, which is now chipped and stained.
Haworth Riding for the Disabled Group provides people with physical and learning disabilities horse riding and stable management lessons. It will use the funds for additional coaching hours on its mechanical horse simulator (above) which supports individuals with
more severe disabilities.
Groups and charities can apply for Persimmon funding online.
