TIRELESS fundraiser and charity worker Nazim Ali has stopped by at Bradford Royal Infirmary to donate toys and gifts to ill children for Eid.
Mr Ali, from Manningham, visited the children’s ward at BRI with a collection of presents for children on the ward as part of his bi-annual visits for Eid.
Eid al-Adha began yesterday and will last until Saturday night, with celebrations taking place across the district and across the world for the holiest holiday in the Islamic calendar.
Mr Ali said: “It was a great honour for me to arrange the Eid gift giving.
“I handed over more than 60 gifts and a large box of new books kindly donated by the National Literacy Trust Hub Bradford.
“I’ve handed over hundreds of gifts in the last six years, and those hundreds of smiles of innocent poorly children has certainly enriched me and humbled me.
“As a child I spent a lot of time in hospital and can empathise with what the children are going through.”
The donations were sponsored by Saveco Cash and Carry.
