ONE of Shakespeare’s most popular plays will be performed on the grounds of a local National Trust site tomorrow.
The Lord Chamberlains Men are an acting troupe who try to re-create how the Bard’s plays were originally performed - with limited casts and men playing the female roles.
Their annual summer performance has become a highlight of the calendar at East Riddlesden Hall, just outside of Keighley.
This year the group will be performing The Tempest, a tale of magic and romance that is thought to be one of Shakespeare’s final plays..
The play will be performed on a stage on the hall’s grounds starting at 7.30pm, although people are invited to set up picnics at 6.30pm. Those attending are advised to bring warm clothes and a camping chair. To book a ticket call 0344 249 1895
