A HISTORIC village will be holding a street market on Saturday, following after a similar event last year attracted hundreds of shoppers.
The first Thornton Village Street Market was held last August, with over 40 stalls attracting hundreds of shoppers to the area, famous for being the birthplace of the Bronte sisters.
Like last year’s successful debut, Saturday’s market will involve local businesses, and there will be stalls selling items such as jewellery, incense, cards, crafts, antiques, home furnishings, sweets and even glitter tattoos.
The Black Horse pub will be providing family friendly entertainment through the day.
The first market was set up to boost community spirit in Thornton, and proved so successful that it helped inspire the return of Thornton Gala, which took place last month for the first time in 10 years.
The market will run from 10am to 4pm.
