A SLIP ROAD onto the M606, Bradford, will undergo resurfacing work this week.
Part of the A6177 Chase Way road, where it joins the top of the M606 at Staithgate roundabout, will be closed this Wednesday, August 15.
Work on around 100m of the road is set to begin at 9:30am and is expected to be completed by 3:00pm.
Bradford Council, which has organised the major resurfacing work, has advised people to avoid the area and seek alternative routes due to expected long delays.
The M606 from the A6177 can be accessed via a signed diversion through Staithgate roundabout and onto the M606 slip road.
A spokesperson for Bradford Council, said: “We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. Unfortunately the works have to be done. Given the heavy usage of this road at all times, we have organised the works so they are taking place off peak.
"The resurfacing at this roundabout is necessary and although it is planned to take place outside of rush hour and during the school summer holidays, it is still expected to cause disruption."
