A CITY centre road was blocked off this afternoon while police attempt to talk a man down from the roof of their headquarters.
Nelson Street was blocked off around Trafalgar House Police Headquarters at 5.42pm today after a man climbed onto the roof of the building's help desk section.
The area was sealed off while officers spoke to the man in an attempt to encourage him to climb down.
Ambulances were also been called to the scene.
By 6.30pm the man had come down from the roof, and is currently being spoken with by officers.
Nelson street has been re-opened.
